Spreading my Wings
For the past couple of years I've been 'playing' with pictures...falling in love with the art of digital photography and the power of images to transend words and communicate emotion.
What an amazing thing, one image, dozens of possibilities! An endless source of media material for countless designs. I just love it!! It's my passion, and my obsession...nothing passes the hours faster for me than being absorbed in my pictures.
Thinking about it, me being a visual thinker, an artist, and a psychologist...it's only natural my interest would stretch to communication through images...actually when I worked for Children's Services back in Oregon, in Special Education, I used to draw custom made 'social stories' for kiddos who needed visual systems to help them manage transitions in their days... back then I was hand drawing all the images...before photography felt too static for me, it lacked the scope to be artistically reshaped, it lacked background music for me...somehow it seemed limited and framed...but I am a convert...this kind of photography is anything but flat. The subjects I get to work with are not contrived in as much as the images are recording a live event, live emotions caught in the moment they happen, forever.
Luckily I have both a source and an outlet for my creativity, I'm part time creative editor at Dimitri Katchia Studios - Wedding Photographers Based in Cyprus and London.

I'm so lucky...I get to play with some of the most gorgeous romantic images you ever saw, and from them create something that is both a reflection of me and my personality....but also amplifies the subject within the photos experience and of course the photographers talent for capturing just the right moment..I put these moments together to tell stories...I love sharing peoples stories!
